RALPH COMPOTARO JR.,WORLD WAR II MARINE
Ralph Compotaro Jr., 58, of 510 Washington ave. died yesterday in Newcomb Hospital after a lengthy illness.

A lifelong resident of Vineland he served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, in Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Guadalcanal and Guam and the Marianas Islands. He was a member of St. Isidore Church.

Surviving are his mother, Antoinetta Compotaro; three brothers, Carmine, Angelo and Dominick, all of Vineland; three sisters, Millie Straus of Camden, Joseph Sressman of Estell Manor and Marguerita Compotaro of Vineland.

Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Friday from the Rone Funeral Chapel with a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Isidore Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral chapel will be Thursday 7 to 9 p.m.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at the Rone Funeral Chapel, 1110 east Chestnut ave., on Friday, December 28 at 8:30 a.m. Thence to St. Isadore's Church where a Mass of Resurrection will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Interment in Siloam Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rone Chapel Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
