CHARLES J. PEARSON, 89
World War II veteran, retired self-employed carpenter
Charles J. Pearson, 89, of Vineland died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at the South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Vineland.

Born in Vineland, Charles had been a lifelong area resident and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a retired carpenter and was self-employed. Charles was a member of the Jehovah's Witness in Newfield and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on old guns.

Surviving are two sons, James J. Pearson of Vineland and Wayne D. Pearson of Pittsgrove; and one grandson, Wayne J. Pearson of Vineland. He is predeceased by his wife, Pearl, in 1970.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at the Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness on Columbia Avenue in Newfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
