RETIRED SALES ASSOCIATE FOR JCPENNEY
Marguerita Compotaro, 83, of Vineland died Saturday in the Rainbow Nursing Center - Genesis Eldercare in Pittsgrove.

Born in Vineland, she was a sales associate and sales floor leader for JCPenney's Store in Vineland for 51 years.

She was a Leader for the Girl Scouts of Vineland for 45 years Secretary and member of the North Italy women's Auxiliary President and member of the Marine Corps. League Auxiliary St. Francis of Assisi Parish and Ladies of St. Francis Ladies Auxiliary Senior Leisure Hour of Vineland former member of the Catholic Daughters of Vineland and many other community organizations.

She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law Dominick and Fay Compotaro of Norma nieces Barbara Compotaro of Pleasantville, Antoinette Curley of Vineland and Patricia Downey of Vineland nephews Nicholas Compotaro of Norma, Louis Strauss of Browns Mills, Albert Day of Dorchester and Tomas Day of Estell Manor and many cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from the St. Francis of Assisi Church, 23 W. Chestnut Ave., Vineland. Interment will be in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Rone Funeral Service, 1110 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland.
